Man stabbed in neck, back at NSW home

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck at a house in Sydney’s Inner West.

Police were called to reports of an altercation at the Stanmore Road home in Stanmore just after 1am on Sunday.

They arrived to find a 28-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck and back.


The injured man was treated by paramedics before being rushed to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

He was transported in a serious but stable condition, police said.

A younger 24-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Newtown Police Station for questioning.

He remained in police custody late on Sunday morning, assisting police with their inquiries.

Police have confirmed the two men are known to each other.
