Man stabbed in neck in alleged murder attempt

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck in Brisbane.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Park Road at Dutton Park shortly after 11pm on Good Friday.

When they arrived, they found a 52-year-old man with a life-threatening stab wound to his neck.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

Following investigations, a 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted murder.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 22.
