Man stabbed multiple times during violent confrontation at Sydney home

A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after being stabbed at a home in Cromer overnight.

Police say that just before midnight, emergency services were called to a home on Moonyean Place.

On arrival, officers found a 47-year-old man suffering a number of stab wounds to his torso and a small wound to his neck.

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital.

A crime scene was established and shortly after, officers went to a home nearby on Carawa Road where they arrested a 36-year-old man.

He was taken to Manly Police Station and is currently assisting with inquiries.

Initial investigations suggest the men were known to each other, with TODAY reporting the stabbing may have been the result of a love triangle.
