Man stabbed with scissors at Gold Coast unit

A MAN is recovering in hospital this morning after he was attacked by a woman wielding scissors at a Highland Park home.

According to Queensland Police, the incident unfolded at a unit along Ben Lamond Drive around 6.45pm on Wednesday.

It’s alleged the woman lunged at the 44-year-old man with a pair of scissors, leaving him with wounds to his shoulder.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

A 41-year-old woman has since been charged with one count of wounding domestic violence offence.

She was refused bail and she will face Southport Magistrates Court today.
