Man stabbed with syringe in public toilet attack

5.20pm: POLICE are still hunting a man accused of stabbing an innocent bystander with a syringe in a Gold Coast toilet block this afternoon.
The victim, a 45-year-old man, told police he was stabbed by a man armed with a needle in the Kurrawa Surf Club toilets around 2.30pm.
He sustained a puncture wound to his lower right arm and has been transported to hospital by ambulance for assessment.
The Bulletin reports the attacker is described as being middle aged, tall, wearing a white shirt and jeans, believed to have been last seen walking south from the scene.
Police are still searching for the offender, despite earlier reports he had been detained.
Police investigations are continuing.
