Man still missing after ute, dogs washed off flooded Victoria road

A MAN remains missing after a ute with three dogs tied on the back was washed away by floodwaters in Victoria’s south-west.

Police are still trying to search for the driver of the white Landcruiser which was found submerged near the end of Ryan’s Road at around five o’clock yesterday afternoon.

Three dogs were found tied to the back of ute. Sadly, one of the dogs had passed away.

Police said the driver, believed to be an 84-year-old man, was not believed to be in the vehicle at the time it was swept off the flooded road.

Local police returned to the scene this morning, along with swift water rescuers, to search for the elderly man.

Anyone with information is urged to contact triple zero (000).
