A man, who allegedly car-jacked a taxi, has been injured following a pursuit with police at Busby.
Police have been told about 2am Thursday 12 November 2015, a 29-year-old man was picked up by a taxi at Lidcombe Railway Station, directing the driver to take him to Sefton.
As the taxi drove along Waldron Road, Sefton, the man began assaulting the driver; who pulled over to the side of the road.

It’s alleged the man dragged the driver out of the car, before getting in and driving away.
The male driver was taken to Liverpool Hospital for minor injuries.
The matter was reported to police and officers began patrolling for the stolen taxi.
A short time later, the vehicle was sighted in Hereford Street, Busby. It’s alleged the taxi accelerated towards a police car, colliding with the front end of it, before continuing on.
Police pursued the taxi into a dead end, where it’s alleged the man opened the driver’s door, before hitting a parked car and falling out into the path of a police vehicle, which struck him.
Officers rendered aid until the arrival of Ambulance Paramedics.
The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He is currently in a stable condition under police guard.
All circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
