UPDATE @ 5.00AM June 26: Police have launched an investigation after a Molendinar home was destroyed by fire on Sunday afternoon.
Two female neighbours alerted emergency services around 12.20pm after seeing smoke coming from the Coachwood Road residence.
They were forced to enter the home to pull the male resident out after spotting flames inside.

The 42-year-old man suffered facial burns and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The blaze was extinguished by the home was extensively damaged.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact police.
EARLIER @ 2.52PM June 25: A man has been rushed to hospital with burns to his face following a house fire on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
The blaze erupted at a house on Coachwood Drive in Molendinar just after midday.
Paramedics treated a 43-year-old man at the scene before taking him to Gold Coast University hospital for treatment to facial burns.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokesperson told myGC the one-storey house sustained severe damage as a result of the flames.
It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze.
