Man suffers burns in jet ski explosion on Gold Coast

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after a horror jetski explosion at a home on the Gold Coast.

Emergency crews were called to a house on Laycock Street in Surfers Paradise around 3.00pm on Saturday.

Upon arrival, they found a man, aged in his 20s, suffering burns to his face and arms.

He was treated on scene by critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed he was transported in a serious but stable condition.

It’s not yet known what sparked the blast.
