Man suffers collapsed lungs, broken ribs in violent kidnapping in NSW

A man has been rushed to hospital with suspected collapsed lungs and broken ribs after he was kidnapped from a home in NSW and brutally tortured.

Police said that around midday on Sunday, officers were called to a home on Dunbar Way at North Gosford.

Upon arrival, police found a 56-year-old man tied up and suffering head and chest injuries.

The man was treated by emergency services and taken to Gosford Hospital in a serious condition.

Following investigations into the horror assault, police arrested a 29-year-old woman and 29-year-old man.

The pair were both charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and kidnap in company.
