Man suffers critical injuries after being hit by car in Logan

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young man was hit by a car in Logan early this morning, leaving him with critical injuries.

Early investigations suggest the man was struck by a white Kia Cerato on Waterford Tamborine Road, close to the intersection of Acton Street at Buccan around 2.20am.

The 21-year-old, from Springwood, was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Detectives say the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old woman, stopped at the scene to help the man and alerted emergency services.

Forensic Crash investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the man walking northbound on Waterford Tamborine Road to come forward.

They’re also urging anyone with dashcam footage and those who rendered assistance to the man to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
