A man has been hospitalised after an alleged assault in Surfers Paradise last night.
Emergency services rushed to a location along the Gold Coast Highway just before 9.00 pm, following reports of the incident.
Paramedics briefly assessed a man in his 50s for a face injury, after he was reportedly assaulted.

The man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
Police are investigating the incident.
“Around 8.35 pm a man was struck to the face with an implement by a man known to him who had entered the unlocked unit,” a spokesperson confirmed to myGC.
“Property and a wallet were stolen before the offender fled.
“The man sustained bruising, swelling and non life-threatening injuries to face and was transported to hospital for treatment.”
It’s the second night in a row that an alleged assault has taken place in Surfers Paradise.
