A man is recovering is in a serious but stable condition in hospital this morning, following an alleged assault on the Gold Coast overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home in Nerang just before 10.00 pm, after reports of an incident.
Paramedics, including critical care and the high acuity response unit, assessed a man in his 40s at the scene before taking him to hospital for further treatment.

He’s suffered head and facial injuries from what paramedics have reported as an alleged assault.
He’s in a serious but stable condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital this morning.
A second person was taken to Robina hospital in a stable condition.
It’s not clear exactly what happened, but police have been contacted for more information.
