A man is in a serious condition in hospital this morning, after he was hit by a car in Broadbeach last night.
Emergency services were called to the Gold Coast Highway just after 7.00pm, following reports of a vehicle and pedestrian incident.
They briefly assessed a man in his 20s for chest and facial injuries, before rushing him to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.

Critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit were there.
Also last night, paramedics were called to a car crash in Arundel, with two people requiring hospitalisation.
It’s understood a car crashed into a wall on Kendor Street around 6.30pm, with a man in his 40s suffering a head injury, and a teenager sustaining minor injuries.
They were both taken in stable conditions to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Later on, a man was hospitalised with a knee injury after his car crashed into a tree along Scottsdale Drive in Robina.
That happened just after 10.00pm. Luckily the man was in a stable condition and taken to Robina Hospital.
Early this morning, paramedics were then called to Tugun, following reports of a bicycle crash.
It happened along Hillcrest Avenue just after 4.30a.
A man in his 40s suffered a head injury, and was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital in a stable condition.
