Man walks 30km to pub in search for help after NSW crash

A 19-year-old man who was thought to be missing after rolling his car in central west NSW last night has turned up safe and well at a remote pub.

The young man’s ute was found crashed in the Yathong State Forest, off Kidman Way, near Mount Hope at around 11pm.

Despite emergency services searching the area around the vehicle for the driver, he could not be found.

Shortly after 12.30pm today, the man walked into the Royal Hotel at Mount Hope.

Police said he had walked 30 kilometres through the night to seek help.

The man is currently being assessed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics as a precaution but is reported to be uninjured.
