Man charged after waving gun outside his car in scary road rage incident on the Gold Coast

Police have charged a Labrador man for a string of gun and drug related offences following a road rage incident in Arundel. 

Police were alerted to a man in a black Mercedes Benz allegedly waving a gun out of the window at a female road user around 8am Thursday morning.


A woman took a photo of the incident and police tracked the vehicle to his home in Botanical Drive in Labrador.

After searching the car and premise police have charged the 25-year-old with with going armed so as to cause fear, possess shortened firearms, possess utensils or pipes etc that had been used and possessing anything used in the commission of crime.

They say they found a black pistol and a sawn-off-shotgun in the man’s home, they also seized drugs in their searches.

He is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
