Man who stabbed girlfriends lover to death after catching them in bed sent to jail

A MAN who stabbed his girlfriend’s lover to death after catching them in bed together, has been sentenced to at least 12 years behind bars.

Roy Tabalbag appeared in the New South Wales Supreme Court this morning for the murder of Amin Sthapit.

The court heard Tabalbag went into an angry rage after he used an iPhone app to detect his girlfriends location and caught her naked in bed with Sthapit, a 30-year-old chef on November 11, 2013.

Tabalbag is alleged to have grabbed a large kitchen knife, and went into the bedroom screaming – “Look, this is what happens,” as he repeatedly stabbed Sthapit in the chest.

Tabalbag will spend at least 12-years behind bars.
