Police are appealing for information from the public following a home invasion at Bondi Beach overnight.

About 8.30pm Monday 2 November 2015, a 36-year-old man was asleep in the bedroom of his Lamrock Avenue unit when he was woken up by voices in the hallway.

When he went to investigate, the man was confronted by two males.

The man has told police one of the intruders punched him in the face while the other remained standing in the doorway.

Emergency services were called, and the man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment of a fractured left cheekbone and eye socket.

It is believed the man’s wallet and phone were stolen during the incident.

Detectives from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early 30s, about 198cm tall, with a muscular build and short light brown/blond hair. He was wearing a green or blue T-shirt and cream-coloured shorts.

The second is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early to mid 30s, about 177cm tall, with a medium build and short, spiky black hair. He was wearing a high-visibility, button-up shirt.

The men were last seen driving east on Lamrock Avenue in a dark sedan.
