A man and woman are due to face court today, charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in a wheelie bin in Melbourne.
A garbage man made the gruesome discovery as he was emptying the bin at the intersection of Young and Butler streets in Preston shortly after 8.00am on May 27.
It’s not yet known how the victim, who has since been named as 44-year-old Ashley Phillips, died.

On Thursday, police arrested and charged a 35-year-old Preston man and 26-year-old Preston woman with murder.
They are due to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
