A man and woman have suffered terrible injuries in a vicious stabbing in Logan on Christmas Eve.
The man has a severed artery and the woman a damaged tendon after they were attacked while walking to their car at a unit complex on Defiance Road, Woodridge at around 7.20pm on Saturday night.
A man, known to the pair, confronted them and began stabbing the 36-year-old man in the leg. The woman attempted to intervene and was stabbed in the hand before the offender fled on foot.

The 36-year-old Cannon Hill man received first aid by responding police to a severed artery in his leg before being transported to hospital in a serious condition.
The 31-year-old woman from Woodridge was also transported to hospital for treatment to lacerations to her hand.
Police investigations are continuing.
