Manhunt after Gold Coast paramedic robbed of drugs at knifepoint

TWO men remain on the run after a Gold Coast paramedic was allegedly threatened at knifepoint and robbed of medication.

It’s believed one of the men flagged down the ambulance as it was travelling along Mudgeeraba Road at Worongary just before midnight on Sunday.

The paramedic thought he was stopping to render assistance, but as he was taking equipment out of the ambulance he was confronted by another man armed with a knife.

It’s alleged the man held the knife to the paramedic’s throat and demanded medication.

The pair then took off with a stash of drugs from the ambulance and remain at large.

The paramedic was treated for bruises to his throat.

Investigations are continuing, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
