Manhunt after rental car crashes into brick wall in Surfers
A major manhunt is underway after a carload of people allegedly fled the scene of a nasty crash in Surfers Paradise.
Emergency crews were called to Paradise Island just before 8.00am on Thursday, following reports a car had lost control and ploughed into a brick wall.
It’s understood the car involved is a rental car.
A Gold Coast Police spokesperson told myGC one male has been taken into custody, however around four to five others remain on the run.
A female, believed to have been a passenger in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene of the crash.
She was treated by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
