Manhunt after shots fired into Gold Coast police beat

A major investigation is underway after shots were fired into a police beat on the Gold Coast in the early hours of this morning.

It’s believed at least two shots were fired into the Arundel Police Beat from a “light coloured sedan” around 3.45am on Monday.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC that the bullets hit a glass door and police vehicle parked outside the Napper Road property.

Thankfully no one was injured.

A crime scene has been established as investigations into the drive-by shooting continue.

Investigators are encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have any relevant footage in the vicinity at the time, to come forward.
