Manhunt after smash and grab at Upper Coomera supermarket

A manhunt is underway after thieves smashed their way into a supermarket on the northern Gold Coast in the early hours of this morning.

The brazen break and enter occurred at a grocery store at the intersection of Reserve Road and Oxenford Tamborine Road in Upper Coomera just after 3.15am.

In a statement to myGC, Queensland Police said “three windows were smashed to gain entry”.

The thieves then got away with a number of cigarettes and remain on the run this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.
