Manhunt underway for group involved in stolen car crash, Broadbeach

Police are on the hunt for a group of people, who were spotted fleeing the scene of a stolen car crash in Broadbeach this morning.

It happened along the Gold Coast Highway, near Cascade Gardens around 3.30am.

Witnesses told police the Toyota sedan was speeding up the highway, when it hit a pole and flipped onto its roof.

A number of people were seen running away from the vehicle, though police were able to locate a 14-year-old boy who had been injured.

Paramedics were called in to treat the boy for a laceration to his head, before taking him to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The car’s believed to have been stolen from an address in Palm Beach.
