Manhunt underway for men behind violent Burleigh home invasion

A group of men are on the run, accused of bashing a man with a metal bar before robbing him in his home at Burleigh Heads on Friday afternoon.

Initial information suggests around 2.45pm four men have forced their way into an Ocean Street residence and hit their 49-year-old victim several times in the face with the bar.

The men have then taken the victim’s phone, laptop and car keys before heading to the car park of the premises where they have also stolen his vehicle and left.

The injured man was taken to Robina Hospital in a stable condition with suspected facial fractures.

One of the men is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s to early 30s with a slim build, blonde hair and a tattoo of the word “loyalty” on the left side of his face. He was wearing a black shirt and shorts.

Another of the men is described as Caucasian in appearance with a large build, short brown hair and wearing similar clothing.

The victim’s car is a black 2008 Lexus sedan with registration 314TNR.
