Manhunt underway after woman bashed, sexually assaulted in violent attack

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with head injuries after allegedly being bashed and sexually assaulted in Sydney’s west.

The injured woman sought help from a stranger on Pennant Street in Parramatta around 2am.

The woman told the man that she had been physically and sexually assaulted.

The Good Samaritan called emergency services and the woman was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to head injuries.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
