FORMER professional rugby league player Marcus Bai has had his 1999 premiership ring returned after being stolen from his Burleigh Water’s home seven years ago.
A Cash Converters in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, contacted police after seeing the special identity of the ring late last year.

Bai won the ring when he played winger for the Melbourne Storm in 1999.
Bai told The Bulletin he had lost hope of ever getting the ring back.
“I worked so hard to get the ring back and to be honest I had given up,” he said.
“It’s not just a ring, it meant so much more to me than that. I am so thankful to the Queensland and Victorian police.”
The Papua New Guinean plans to pass the ring down through his family.
