Margot Robbie claims Best Newcomer award
GOLD Coast actress Margot Robbie has picked up a gong at the Empire Awards in London.
The 23-year-old won Best Female Newcomer thanks to her role in the Wolf of Wall Street.
The Daily Telegraph reports, it was the first award the newly-brunette star has won, after receiving two Logie nominations at home for her role in Neighbours.
It was a long way from Ramsey Street as Robbie wowed on the red carpet in a red Paper London jumpsuit, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Jackman.
Jackman claimed the Empire Icon Award, while Cruise took out one of the biggest gongs of the night, winning Legend Of Our Lifetime award.
