The Queensland Maroons have today confirmed their 18-man squad for Game two of the State of Origin series.
Coach Kevin Walters announced Billy Slater would make a comeback at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, after previously ruling himself out of Game 1 due to a hamstring injury.
Walters said Billy had been training well with the Storm all week and believes he will be good to go by June 24.

“He’s been training with the Storm and the information coming out of Melbourne from their medical staff and Billy.. is that he’ll be right to go,” Walters said.
Newcastle Knights young gun Kalyn Ponga and Melbourne Storm’s Tim Glasby, who were both part of the Maroons extended squad for Game 1 in Melbourne, have also been named in the team.
Walters said Ponga’s recent form has been too good to ignore.
“He’s been playing some good football for Newcastle Knights this year and knocking on the door; very close in game one and we expect to have him in game two,” he said.
“We’ve got some plans about how we want to use him, going to be a long term player for us and grateful we’ve got him into the side this time around.”
Anthony Milford missed out on selection and Michael Morgan is unavailable due to injury.
