A WOMAN has been bailed up by a masked man in the driveway of her home in Sydney’s west and had her car stolen at knifepoint.
The woman had only just returned to her home on Morningbird Close in St Clair around 8.40pm last night when she was accosted.
Police said a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife approached the 40-year-old woman as she parked her Toyota Camry sedan in her driveway.

The allegedly opened the driver’s side door and ordered the woman to get out of her car.
The woman got out and screamed for help from her husband, who was inside their home.
He raced to her aid and tried to stop the masked man from stealing the car, but was unsuccessful.
The man fled the scene in the couple’s maroon 2005-model Toyota Camry sedan with NSW registration AJ 98 HA.
As investigations get underway, detectives are appealing for public assistance to help locate the vehicle and the offender.
Anyone who finds the car is urged not to touch it, but instead call their nearest police station or Crime Stoppers.
The armed man is described only as having a stocky build and spoke with an Australian accent. He was wearing a grey jumper, dark pants, and a balaclava over his face at the time.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact police immediately and not to approach the man, who was last seen armed with a knife.
