Mat Rogers believes Titans can end Sharks winning streak

Retired Titans player Mat Rogers is tipping it will be the Titans who put an end to the Cronulla Sharks 15-match winning streak on Monday night.

Rogers, who is a legend at both clubs having played 123 games with the Sharks and 77 matches with the Titans, says despite loving both clubs, he is hopeful the titans come away with the win at Cbus.

“I love them both, it’s a real win, win weekend for me this weekend and it always is when Cronulla play the Titans, I love them both dearly and I would love to see them both succeed,” Rogers said.

“Unfortunately there can only be one winner, I’ll take either but I’m here on the Gold Coast working for the Titans so let’s bring home a Titans victory.

“The Sharks have definitely been the form side this year and they have been a really great team to watch, I’ve got to say though, the last two games, they looked pretty tired against the Roosters and they were pretty scrappy on the weekend against Newcastle.

“I think if anyone is going to beat them, we have got an in-form Titans side that are rocking and rolling right now, so let’s hope that it’s best foot forward this weekend and we come away with a win.”

The Titans take on Cronulla at Cbus Super Stadium on Monday night.
