Mazda recalls 18,000 cars over possible engine issue

Mazda has issued another recall, the third in a month.

18,000 Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5 models are included in the latest recall which is because of a stalling issue.

A software problem could force the engine to cut out and prevent drivers from being able to restart it.

The affected vehicles were sold between February 2018 and May 2019.

Mazda has urged owners who think they may be affected to check on the Mazda website.

The latest recall comes after around 3000 Mazda3’s were recalled because of an issue with the wheel nuts which could cause wheels to fall off.

There was also a recall last month involving around 250 vehicles because of an issue with interior lights.
