Mazda has issued recalls for several popular models.
33,655 of its BT-50 dual cab utes sold between 2011 and 2015 have been recalled because the rear seatbacks could unlock when braking.
Caradvice.com said the end of the return spring for the rear folding seat back latch could break, causing the mechanism to malfunction.

If the fault occurs, the seat could make abnormal noises, while the seatback may not be locked in the upright position, causing it to fall forward and down when under brakes.
If a baby seat is installed on the back seat facing rearward and the seatback moves, that will change the amount of clearance between the child-restraint system and the seat back.
This also increases the risk of injury to rear seat passengers in the event of a collision.
Mazda has also issued a separate recall for 237,000 vehicles from its 3 hatch, 6 wagon, CX-3 and CX-5 SUV lines.
This mostly concerns owners who drive on the coast or park near the beach fairly regularly.
Caradvice.com reports the ‘Liftgate Stay Dampers’ (struts) may start to corrode if they’re exposed to salt.
Should that happen, the external body could swell and the end-cap could split and break as the tailgate is opened.
As the struts contain pressurised gas to keep the tailgate up, there is a risk of components being dislodged and ejected when they break, which could injure anyone standing close by.
Affected vehicles were sold between January 25, 2008 and March 1, 2016.
