Bride-to-be Meghan Markle has put rumours to rest and confirmed her father, Thomas Markle, will not be flying to the UK for her wedding to Prince Harry.
Ms Markle released a statement via Kensington Palace overnight.
“Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding,” she said.

“I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.
“I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support.
“Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.”
The announcement from the former Suits actress has ended days of speculation about whether or not her father will walk her down the aisle.
Mr Markle is understood to have suffered a heart attack last week and is recovering after surgery.
Overnight, a rehearsal for the big day got underway in the UK. Members of the Armed Forces were among those who took park in the dress rehearsal of the Carriage procession through Windsor Town and The Long Walk.
