It’s been four months since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot, but it seems the royal wedding is the gift that keeps on giving!
In a sneak peek of a new documentary series on Queen Elizabeth II, titled Queen of the World, the Duchess of Sussex revealed the romantic detail some of us may not have noticed on her wedding dress.
According to the 37-year-old, sewn into the breathtaking Givenchy gown is a piece of blue material from the outfit she wore on her very first date with her now-husband Prince Harry.

“Somewhere in here there’s a piece of, did you see it? The piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside?” Meghan asks the reporter.
“It was my something blue. It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date,” she says.
“That’s about the most romantic thing I’ve ever heard” the reporter responds.

As previously revealed by Kensington Palace, Meghan also touched on the special way her veil paid tribute to the Commonwealth, with flowers representing each country sewn into the delicate material.
“It was important for me, especially now being part of the Royal Family, to have all 53 of the Commonwealth Countries incorporated and I knew that it would be a fun surprise as well, for my now husband, who didn’t know,” Meghan says in the newly-released clip posted on the Royal Family’s official Twitter account.
“He [Harry] was really over the moon to find out that I would make this choice for our day together.
“And I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction and just appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us and the role that we play, and the work that we’re going to continue to do within the Commonwealth countries.”
