Melbourne Cup winning Jockey Michelle Payne on the GC

Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne is on the Gold Coast.

She’s guest speaking at Canungra’s inaugural Stallion Parade on Sunday and will share her thoughts on horses, racing and winning Australia’s greatest race.

Michelle is still recovering from a race fall in country Victoria in May.

Aquis Farm will welcome nearly 1,000 visitors to its picturesque headquarters.

The event will provide a great opportunity to see some of Australia’s best thoroughbred racehorses up close and personal.

The inaugural Aquis Farm roster features brilliant Group winning sprinter son of Snitzel, Spill The Beans plus world class sire Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) shuttling from Coolmore Ireland for the 2016 breeding season, together with proven Group I producer Domesday and exciting young sire Benfica.

“Our roster features a great mix of proven and promising sires, who are sons of some of the very best stallions in the world in Danehill, Snitzel, Lonhro and Red Ransom,” said Chief Operations Officer, Marcus Langer.

“We are committed to bringing the highest quality stallions to Queensland to benefit local breeders and further our local racing industry. “This day however is not just about the stallions. It’s about Aquis Farm and the facilities and services we offer across the breeding spectrum, as well as other integral facets of the farm.”
