Melbourne duo Jordan Lewis and Jesse Hogan have both been handed suspensions after being charged with striking offences in Sunday’s win over Carlton.
Lewis copped a three-match ban for for a behind-play hit on Blues onballer Patrick Cripps, leaving him with a fractured jaw.
Cripps is now in doubt for Sunday’s clash with Essendon.

Meanwhile, Hogan accepted a two-game suspension for striking Sam Rowe.
On Monday, former Hawthorn player Jason Dunstall slammed the pair’s actions, labelling them “irresponsible”.
“Jesse Hogan is only a young player but he’s a key player,” Dunstall told Fox Footy.
“This is a young team that has won their first couple of games and are ready to go somewhere. You can’t do it without your good players.”
