Melbourne police hunt gaming venue robber

Police have released CCTV images of a man wanted after allegedly robbing a gaming venue at knife-point in Melbourne’s south.

The alleged hold-up took place at a venue on Sandham Street in Elsternwick on 7 June.

It’s alleged that, at around 11.25pm, a man burst into the venue wielding a large kitchen knife.

Police said the man approached the cashier counter and threatened staff with the knife before fleeing with a stash of cash.

Investigators have released CCTV images of the man and his alleged getaway car in the hope someone may recognise him or the vehicle.

The man (above) was wearing a black hoodie, cream pants, dark shoes, gloves and had a scarf over his face.

The vehicle (below) is described as a white sports car. It was seen in the area shortly before the robbery took place.
