Men accused of stealing baby formula and cosmetics

FOUR MEN have been busted after allegedly stealing more than $2500 worth of baby formula and cosmetics from Sydney supermarkets.

About 4.30pm on Saturday police were called to a shopping centre in Mount Annan, after two men were seen allegedly stealing baby formula from a store.

“Officers from Camden Police Area Command attended and stopped four men as they were getting into a vehicle in the car park,” Police explain in a statement.

“During a search of the car, police located and seized a large amount of baby formula and cosmetics.

“It’s alleged the items, valued at more than $2500, had been stolen from two supermarkets within the shopping centre.

“Drug paraphernalia was also located and seized from the car.”

The four men – aged 55, 36, 35 and 33 – have been charged with multiple offences, including stealing.

They were given conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court in November.

It comes just two months after a woman was accused of stealing $250,000 of formula to sell on the black market.
