Men hospitalised after violent nightclub brawl

TWO men have been seriously injured – one glassed in the face – during a violent brawl inside a Gold Coast nightclub.

It’s alleged two 36-year-old men were using an ATM in a nightclub on Albert Ave, Broadbeach around 3.45am Sunday when an argument broke out between one of them and a third man.

A short while later, police said one of the 36-year-old men was approached by the same third man on the dance floor who smashed a glass in his face.


A fourth man then allegedly punched the other 36-year-old in the face, before both fleeing the scene on foot.

The 36-year-old men were both taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment to non-life threatening facial and head injuries.

One of the attackers is being described as being Middle Eastern in appearance and around 170cm tall, with a proportionate build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeved t-shirt and black pants.

Police are urging anyone with information which could assist them with enquiries, or who may have seen this man, to contact Crime Stoppers or Policelink.
