Acting Inspector Ben Martain saying police were investigating whether tools found in a ute were used as weapons during the brawl.
“There was talk that a machete was used so it looks like there’s been some defensive wounds on the hand,” he said.
“It looks like the fellow with the injured hand won’t lose his hand but may lose a couple of fingers.”
The Bulletin reports, Police said none of the men have links to criminal motorcycle gangs, but said they are refusing to cooperate.
Acting Chief Superintendent Lacy says police may charge some or all of the men with affray.
A ute involved has a smashed windscreen and a large pool of blood can be seen on the road.
