Men stabbed by gunman during disturbance north of the Gold Coast

POLICE are hunting a man following a savage double stabbing in Logan City.

The attack took place at a house on Winani Street around 9pm on Saturday. Police said a 22-year-old man was kicked out of the home after becoming embroiled in an argument with the occupants.

It’s understood the man left the address before returning a short time later, allegedly armed with a knife and a rifle, and attacked the occupants.

Police said two men aged 43 and 41 were stabbed during the altercation. They were taken to hospital for treatment to what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.

Fortunately, the firearm was not discharged.

The 22-year-old (pictured below) remains at large after fleeing the scene on foot.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 170cm tall, slim build, with short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie.

Investigations are continuing.
