Mercedes seized after horror six car pile up in posh Sydney suburb

POLICE have seized a man’s $74,000 Mercedes-Benz involved in a horror six car pile up in one of Sydney’s ritziest harbourside suburbs overnight.

The crash happened on New South Head Rd at Point Piper, between Wolseley Rd and Victoria St, about 7pm.

It’s alleged a grey Mercedes A45 AMG hatchback travelling west on New South Head Rd, collided with a Holden Rodeo utility and an Audi coupe travelling in the opposite direction, along with two other cars, before coming to rest against the kerb.

The Holden Rodeo was sent hurtling into sixth vehicle travelling in the same direction.

Miraculously, no one was injured despite all six vehicles suffering damage.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 27-year-old Pyrmont man, underwent a roadside breath test which proved negative. His vehicle was seized by police for further examination and investigations are continuing.
