Mermaid Beach breaks property record

Mermaid Beach house prices have smashed a new property record.

The suburb is now the most expensive on the Gold Coast, with the median house price a record $1.5 million.

Data released by CoreLogic reveals the price of an average house in Mermaid Beach is now $1.562 million, a 9.1 per cent increase in the past 12 months.


The suburb is now the fourth most expensive in Queensland, and the first Gold Coast suburb to break the $1.5 million threshold.

The CoreLogic data also showed a number of other Coast suburbs have cleared the $1 million median house price, including Surfers Paradise ($1.35 million), Clear Island Waters ($1.1 million), Broadbeach Waters ($1.1 million), Bundall ($1.05 million) and Paradise Point ($1.0425 million).
