“It’s always been a dream of mine to visit Australia. It’s one of the most beautiful places that I’ve seen pictures of, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to tune in and connect to one of the most high frequency and gorgeous regions on the planet,” she said.

“I wasn’t familiar with the Melbourne Cup Carnival before the opportunity came up to attend this year, but once it was brought to my attention, I asked my Aussie friends about it and heard so many incredible things! They say it’s ‘the race that stops a nation’, and I’m eager to experience this tradition for myself!

Jackson said she was working with an Australian designer to come up with an outfit that will fit with the traditional fashions of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, while “still incorporating my own personal style.”

Myer executive general manager of brand and marketing, Michael Scott, said Paris “has an iconic, bold and eclectic sense of style. She is a breath of fresh air in the fashion world and we can’t wait to welcome her into the Myer Marquee on Melbourne Cup Day.”

The Melbourne Cup Carnival is regarded as the world’s most vibrant racing event.
