A Gold Coast pensioner has become a millionaire overnight after his ticket scored a division one prize worth a $1 million in Monday’s Gold Lotto draw!
The winning man was blown away by the news he’d become a millionaire, describing the dream-come-true win as ‘marvellous’.
“Bloody hell! That’s amazing!” the gobsmacked winner exclaimed to a Golden Casket official who broke the life-changing news to him this morning. “I’m a millionaire – that sounds marvellous! I always dreamed I’d win one day but I never thought it would happen. I’m a pensioner so it means I’ll be able to go down to the shops and buy anything I like. But I did always say if I ever won Gold Lotto, I wouldn’t race out and spend money straight away. I’d wait a few weeks and let the excitement settle down first.”
