A man’s been charged with drink-driving after crashing a minibus into a police car in Tweed Heads overnight.
The 52-year-old driver was carrying four drivers when he collided with the parked vehicle outside the police station north of Wharf Street around 11.40 pm.
Nearby border police ran over to find the man and his passengers getting out of the bus, all luckily uninjured.

The man was taken into custody and breath-tested at the scene where he allegeldy returned a positive result.
He was then taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where he returned a breath analysis reading of 0.065 according to police.
He’s since been issued a Court Attendance Notice for low range PCA and negligent driving and will front court in Tweed next month.
