POLICE have confirmed a young boy, who was reported missing on Sunday night, has been found dead at a nearby train station.
The 11-year-old ran away from a carer’s facility on Oatley Parade about 7.15pm on Sunday.
Officers put out a desperate plea to locals to look out for the young boy, revealing in a statement they had “serious concerns for the child’s welfare as he has a medical condition, is non-verbal and is unlikely to respond.”

The Dog Unit and Polair were also called in to help search for the boy.
Shortly before 9.30pm, it was confirmed the child had been found deceased at Oatley Train Station.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death, and police are appealing to anyone with information to contact St George Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
