More than a dozen African athletes who disappeared during the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games have surprisingly turned up in Sydney.
The missing visitors, believed to be from Cameroon, Uganda and Rwanda, have until midnight tonight until their visas expire.
It’s understood a number of the men and women have applied for protection visas and are currently seeking legal advice on how to stay in the country.

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton said those who attempt to overstay their visas will be tracked down.
“The Visa’s that have been issued for the Commonwealth Games, they expire at midnight,” he said.
“But there will be some who seek to overstay. We will start enforcement action almost straight away in relation to some of those.”
